How to Check RMS and Peak Volume in Pro Tools

A short video about how to use the Gain plug-in to check the RMS and Peak volume of an audio file in Avid Pro Tools.

This is a very useful skill to know if you want to verify the volume of an audio file recorded in your home studio before submitting it to a client or editor.

NOTE: The measurements from the Gain plugin in Pro Tools will sometimes differ by a few 1/10s of a dB from measurements taken in RX7.
